What the hell am I supposed to do about this? Other than post to Oppo, of course. I can't catch it, and it won't fly out the door when it's open. Now I'm getting bird crap in here. When in doubt, ask Oppo.

I've been there.
My wife called me hysterical that there was someone in the house and that she was hiding upstairs. Found a starling chilling on my projector. I can't remember how we got it out, sorry.

We tend to scare it open a door and use blankets as walls to guide it out it usually works pretty well

I don't know, but I can tell you it's a Carolina Wren. Maybe try throwing a sheet over it.

Happened to me with a hummingbird. Throw a towel over it (gently) and then wrap it without crushing and take it outside... or get a cat.

it's likely really scared, I'd say either chase it out the door, or let it settle down, and you can take it outside.
I have a pet cockatiel who often misbehaves and flies away, I chase it down until it gets tired and inevitably lands, and gently hold it and put it back in it's cage.

Followed by SPNKIX's suggestion. I would also suggest letting it soak in italian dressing for about an hour and then rubbing it with sea salt, black pepper, rosemary, and a pinch of garlic salt. :D

Congrats on getting it out... Don't you live in CT where it is cold and raining?

Yeah, I got rained on while letting it out... now it's just sitting out there. Idk if it's hurt or what.

It flew in when the door opened. There's a Christmas wreath on the door, and the bird was chilling on it.

Now it makes sense! I thought someone had left a window open today, when it's pouring. Hahaha
